Student Lit Fest, a two-day event where our space became the epicenter of literary exploration and artistic expression. The Student Lit Fest 2024 was successful in making literary passion meet academic rigor, by bridging the gap between academia and creative expression. The event was a blend of several Panel discussions, Special talks, Masterclasses, Competitions, Quiz, Book release, Open Mic, and Cultural program.
The event had esteemed guests speaking on various subjects and gave all the participants insightful knowledge in their interested areas, while proving their proficiency over the art.
The inauguration of the event commenced with our distinguished guests, Sri. Rickey Kej, Sri. Prakash Belwadi, Prof. Vamsee Juluri, Dr. T. V. Raju, and Prof. Rajesh Aruchamy together lighting the lamp of knowledge. The inaugural event gave a beautiful start to the event marking and inspiring participants to broaden their perspectives on various facets of literature.
Panel Discussions:
The panel discussions covered various aspects in & around Literature led by esteemed personalities. It included topics such as “New India- New Stories,” “Bharatiya and other Narrative Sensibilities,” “Literature and its Many Manifestations,” “Oral, Digital, Print to Metaverse- Evolution of Bharatiya Sahitya,” “Contemporary Youth- Opportunities and Challenges,” “Chronicles of Impact- Historians Shaping People and Society.”
Special Talk:
The special talk included two dynamic and intellectual talks by Shatavadhani Dr. R. Ganesh, an eminent scholar and master of the Avadhana form, and Sri. Dushyanth Sridhar, a distinguished writer, scholar and film director. They both enlightened the participants with their profound knowledge, speaking on “Ananda & Literature- Transgressing the Academic Dichotomies” and “Samanjasa in Scriptures.”
Masterclasses:
There were various masterclasses held by professionals which offered profound exploration and learning on topics such as, Mastering the Art of Literary Expression in the age of AI, How to Publish a Book, Copyright issue, Writing Fiction, ScreenPlay, Palaeography and Manuscripts, Calligraphy Writing, Caricature and Newspaper Cartoons, and Fusion of AI & Art.
Valedictory:
The event concluded with insightful addresses from prominent speakers Sri. S. N. Sethuram, Sri. Yograj Bhat, Pandit Praveen Godkhindi, Prof Ashok H. S. & Mohan Kumar. S
