Haritvam in collaboration with Centre for Sustainable Technologies, IISc and Students’ Council, IISc, organized The Bengaluru Eco Summit 2024, on 22nd and 23rd of March, 2024 at Satish Dhawan Auditorium. The summit aimed to assemble a distinguished gathering of scientists, scholars, policymakers, development practitioners, environmental advocates, public intellectuals, NGOs, youth, and students from across the city to transform Namma Bengaluru into a Better Bengaluru.

The event featured esteemed inaugural guests including Prof. Govindan Rangarajan, Director of IISc, Dr. Ramprasath Manohar V, IAS, Chairman of BWSSB, and Dr. Madhavi Latha, Chairperson of CST.

There were panel discussions, workshops and monologue by distinguished guests on “Clean Energy, Clean Water, Clean City”, “Human-Animal: Conflict or Coexistence”, “From Water Crisis to Water Sustainability,” and “LiFe in Campus,”
The workshops included “Legal Activism for Environment through NGOs,” “Environmental Education,” and “Sustainable Entrepreneurship/Sociopreneurship.”

The event also featured a monologue by Shri. Dharmendra Kumar, a historian who delved into the forgotten tales of Bengaluru and old Mysore.
The event also provided a platform for students to showcase their idea presentations and posters and involved around 300 active participants. During the event, the audience enjoyed cultural performances and screening of the short film ‘Kappe Raaga,’ which deeply resonated with them.

The valedictory program concluded on a poignant note, emphasizing sustainability and celebrating environmental consciousness and transformation with Dr. A. N. Yellappa Reddy, Sri Jaikishan Agnihotri, Shri Mahesh.T, Prem. S, and Shri Rajath and Sandesh. S.
