- Teach the origin and the historical aspects of dance in general.
- Teach the history and the development of the Bharatanatyam dance form.
- Teach some of the important technical aspects of dance from the treatise Abhinaya Darpana and Natya Sastra.
Programme Outcomes (POs)
- The students will have an understanding on the etymological aspects of dance.
- The students will have an in depth understanding of the historical and developmental aspects of Bharatanatyam dance.
- The students will be able to perform and show the technical aspects of dance from the Abhinaya Darpana and the Natya Sastra.
